How much does it cost to re-rivet my AK?
Standard re-riveting on a 7.62 AK, such as a PSA model, starts at $400. PSA 5.56 rifles typically need a more complete rebuild and are quoted separately, usually in the $1,000 to $1,200 range. Request a quote with your rifle’s details for exact pricing.
Which states do you ship to?
We can ship new rifles to every state except the 11 that ban assault weapons: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington. Firearm laws change often, so check the shipping map on our homepage for current availability.
Can I still send you my rifle if I live in a restricted state?
In many cases, yes. Some states allow residents to keep rifles they legally owned before a ban took effect. If you already own your rifle, you may be able to ship it to us for repairs or re-riveting and have it shipped back. Contact us and we’ll confirm.
How does buying a rifle work?
Add a rifle to your quote list or fill out a quote form. We’ll follow up by email to confirm details and pricing. Once your rifle is ready, it ships to a licensed FFL dealer near you, where you complete a background check and pick it up.
Do you require a deposit?
Custom builds require a 50% deposit to get started, with the balance due before the rifle ships. We’ll explain everything when we send your quote.
What’s the difference between a custom build and a kit build?
A custom build starts from brand-new parts that we source and assemble from the ground up. A kit build uses a surplus parts kit you already own, which we rebuild with a new receiver and the U.S. parts needed for 922(r) compliance.
What happens if something goes wrong with my rifle after I buy it?
We stand behind our work. Because you already own the rifle, you can ship it directly back to us. We’ll make it right and ship it straight back to you.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes. Active military, law enforcement, and first responders receive 10% off. Patreon members ($5 a month) also receive 10% off.
Do you work on firearms other than AKs?
No. We focus exclusively on AKs and AK-pattern rifles. That focus is what lets us get the details right.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Wyoming Applied Kinetics holds an 07 Federal Firearms License as a manufacturer of firearms.
