Proper riveting is an important part of an AK build. If you’re concerned about the riveting on your rifle, get in touch to discuss it with a builder who focuses specifically on AKs and AK-pattern firearms. Our re-riveting service addresses the rifle’s existing rivet work, with an emphasis on Russian-spec construction.
Some production AKs leave the factory with rivets that aren’t set correctly to Russian specification. They may run fine at first, but as round count climbs, improper rivets can loosen and lead to failures. A proper re-rivet addresses the problem at its source.
Every project receives personal attention from one dedicated builder. We’ll discuss your rifle and the concerns you have before confirming the scope of work and pricing. Some projects involve more extensive work than others, so an accurate quote starts with the details of your particular rifle.
Standard re-riveting for a 7.62 AK, such as a PSA model, starts at $400. Other rifles may require more extensive rebuilding. In particular, PSA 5.56 projects are quoted separately because the work involved can go beyond a standard re-riveting job.
